The practice
What is Maine Performance & Longevity Center?+
MPLC is a membership-based medical practice for adult male patients who want a more proactive, personalized approach to their health, performance, and long-term risk. Care begins by understanding your history, concerns, goals, and what you want your health to allow you to do.
Is MPLC primary care?+
No. MPLC complements—but does not replace—your primary care provider. Patients are required to maintain a primary care provider during treatment. MPLC does not provide emergency, urgent, hospital, or comprehensive primary care.
Do you accept female patients?+
MPLC is currently focused on care for adult male patients. Services may expand in the future as the practice grows and patient needs evolve.
Costs and testing
Do you accept insurance?+
MPLC does not bill insurance for consultations or membership. Laboratory testing, imaging, medications, supplements, and outside services may be billed separately by the organization providing them.
Are laboratory tests included in the membership fee?+
No. Follow-up laboratory testing may be ordered when clinically appropriate, but laboratory testing and associated costs are separate from the membership fee.
Will every patient receive the same laboratory panel?+
No. Any tests shown on this website are examples. Recommendations are individualized based on history, symptoms, goals, previous results, risk factors, and clinical judgment.

Can medications be reduced or discontinued?+
When clinically appropriate, yes. Ongoing care may include reducing or discontinuing treatment when improvements in health change what is necessary.
Does testing prevent disease or guarantee early detection?+
No. Testing can provide information that may help clarify risk and inform care, but it cannot guarantee prevention, early detection, or a particular outcome.
